It’s a Hoot!

Owls are in!  But since they sell so quickly, they don’t stay “in” for very long at Fabric of Vision!

These funky owls were designed by Tina Givens.

Stuff

July 22nd, 2010

What’s new in the “STUFF” department?

Huge snaps are referred to as “Whopper Poppers!”  Did you know that?  I didn’t until a costumer from OSF  (Oregon Shakespeare Festival) came in and saw these.

p1010537

Our intent is to use them decoratively on garments, such as this Indygo Junction Vest.

Zippers are no longer boring, nor do they need to be hidden.  Fabric of Vision now has 35 colors of zippers!

These colorful zippers cry out to be used in these small bags by Atkinson Designs.

Everyone Needs an Apron

July 20th, 2010

You don’t have to cook to reap the benefits of an apron!  Bring in food from a favorite restaurant or market (I can never figure out why some people call it “Take Out”  food and others call it “Take In” food.  My friend happily calls it “Other People’s Cooking!”)

OK, staying on topic, bring in food, transfer everything to real dishes, use cloth napkins (so easy to make), put on a cute apron before the guests arrive and enjoy!

When asked “Did you make this?” ignore the fact that friends are asking about the food and tell them how you made this sassy apron, “Aunt Ina’s Apron” from Reets Rags to Stitches.

If I still haven’t convinced you to make an apron, how can you ignore these brightly colored Rick Racks?  I’m sure there is a color to match your dishes!
