Swig & Skirts…..

…..taking advantage of a little play on words.

As always, the New Year brings new projects. The focus of  this month’s Swig & Stitch was skirts and it sure was popular.  Both sessions were packed with women ready to take a break from their busy days, sip some wine and watch skirt sewing demonstrations.

While Jim Piotter, owner of Liquid Assets Wine Bar poured the first glass of Pinot, I started the demonstration with Lazy Days Skirt from Oliver + S.  This is an adorable ribbon trimmed  skirt that any little girl would love to wear.  Fabric of Vision has so many ribbons to choose from, it’s difficult to make just one!

The next two wines were accompanied by at least eight samples of Diane Erickson’s Taos Skirt.  Talk about inspiration!   Of course, everyone went home with a copy of her pattern.  They are now ready to take advantage of the “More you buy, the more you save” Sale at Fabric of Vision where we also stock a complete line of Oliver + S and Diane’s patterns!

Next month’s demo is entitled “Take & Bake” and includes apron, pie carrier, and casserole carrier.  Be sure to call for reservations, we are filling up fast!

You Swig.....

    Hi!Ms.Sandi!I always see your blog!

    Do you remember me?

    I`m a Japanese boy,and I met you at LAX(Los Angeles Airport).

Probably,You were reading a book then, and I said that 『the book seems so difficult to me.』

After that, we had a pleasant talk.

At last,We have had our photograph taken there, and you gave me business card.

    Do you recall me.

Today, I study everyday to pass the examination of graduate school.

In the future,I would like to study earthquake-proof construction in the University of California.

I would like to see you again.
